Criteria and requirements for Conference Proceedings

To facilitate the preparation and publication of the official Conference Proceedings for the 17th Asian Criminological Society Conference, all participating presenters who wish to have their papers published in the Conference Proceedings are requested to comply with the following requirements and submission criteria.

Eligibility for Inclusion in Conference Proceedings

Only papers that fulfill all the following conditions will be considered for inclusion in the official conference proceedings:

• Abstract has been officially accepted by the Conference Scientific Committee.
• Presenter has completed full conference registration and payment.
• Presenter has presented the paper during the conference.
• Full paper is submitted within the stipulated deadline.
• Paper complies fully with formatting and submission requirements.
• Paper passes editorial review and plagiarism screening.

Full Paper Submission Deadline

Participating presenters must submit their final full paper on or before: June 15, 2026
Late submissions may not be considered for publication in the conference proceedings.

Language

Papers must be written in clear and professional English.
Authors are strongly encouraged to ensure proper grammar, spelling, and academic writing quality prior to submission.
Papers with poor language quality may be returned for correction.

Paper Length

• Minimum: 5,000 words
• Maximum: 8,000 words
• (Word count includes references, tables, and appendices.)

Formatting Requirements

Authors are required to adhere strictly to the following formatting guidelines: Document Format:

Font and Spacing
Font: Times New Roman
Font Size: 12 pt
Line Spacing: 1.5
Margins: 1 inch on all sides
Page Numbering
Pages must be numbered consecutively.

Structure of the Paper

The full paper should contain the following sections:

• Title of Paper
• Author(s) Name
• Affiliation/Institution
• Email Address of Corresponding Author
• Abstract (150–250 words)
• Keywords (3–5 keywords)
• Introduction
• Literature Review
• Methodology
• Findings/Results
• Discussion
• Conclusion
• References
• Appendices (if applicable)

Referencing Style

Authors must use APA Referencing Style (7th Edition). References must be complete, accurate, and consistently formatted. Authors are responsible for ensuring proper citation of all sources.

Originality and Plagiarism

Submitted papers must be original and unpublished works. Papers must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. Similarity index should preferably not exceed 20%. The Conference Secretariat reserves the right to reject papers with excessive plagiarism or academic misconduct.

Tables, Figures, and Images

All tables, figures, charts, and images must be clearly labelled and numbered. Authors must ensure that all visual materials are of publication quality. Authors are responsible for obtaining any necessary copyright permissions.

Author Responsibility

Authors are fully responsible for: Accuracy of facts, data, and references Ethical compliance of research Language editing and proofreading Obtaining necessary institutional or ethical approvals Ensuring that the submitted version is final and publication-ready

Editorial Rights

The Editorial Committee reserves the right to: Make minor editorial and formatting changes Request revisions where necessary Decline papers that do not meet academic or formatting standards

Submission of a full paper does not automatically guarantee publication in the conference proceedings. All submissions are subject to editorial review and compliance with conference publication standards.
